Nazli and Patrick; Family, Friends and Fun…

Nazli and Patrick didn’t stop smiling from the moment I met them! From their welcome evening aboard a sunset cruise through to the end of their wedding day there were smiles, laughter and love all around – just how it should be. A lovely ceremony at Seven Stars was followed by an unusual group photo (we’ll see the result of that in a few weeks!), cocktail hour and a fantastic first dance, where after a few slow moves the couple switched to ‘Happy’ and invited everyone to join them… Dinner saw Nazli and Patrick’s family and friends make some emotional and fun speeches with hugs and tears all round, before everyone hit the dancefloor again. Thanks to Anita from Brilliant Studios for capturing all those special moments...

Rustic Seaside Wedding Shoot

NILA Destinations’ very own Mary assisted in this styled shoot, showing a different take on a beach wedding… Rustic and a little bit nautical, the simple touches and details make it memorable and inspiring – which is no doubt why our friends at Style Me Pretty decided to feature it!

Cheryl & Chris – an elegant, intimate family wedding.

Cheryl had ideas about how she wanted her wedding day to be, she just wasn’t certain where she wanted it to be! After thinking for a while she chose Seven Stars, which turned out to be the perfect setting for both her ceremony, with toes in the sand beneath a romantic driftwood arch, and her reception, dinner and dancing on a private deck under twinkly lights and clear skies. Take a look to see the gorgeous pictures of the day from Andy of Brilliant Studios!

Dancing, dancing, dancing, dinner and back to the dancing!

Kerry and Nick’s wedding day started calmly – even a bridesmaid dress with a broken zip didn’t faze Kerry! However, after the ceremony on the beach, with smiles all round, the guests were ready to party. They started dancing as soon as they got to the reception and barely stopped to taste dinner! The evening ended up with a few guests ‘cooling off’  in the pool and people saying they’d never seen Nick as relaxed as he was at his reception. Take a look at the day’s events here.

Wedding Tip 1 – invite great dancers!

It isn’t always possible for the bride and groom to visit the island, but Melissa and Chris wanted to check everything out before they made their wedding plans. I’m glad they did; they are a really great couple and the moment I met them I knew I would love working with them! Time flew past and after many chats and emails they were back and ready to enjoy their celebrations. Friends and family joined them for a sunset sail and beach barbecue the evening before the wedding – a great way for guests to mingle and catch up – and then the big day arrived. We didn’t have the blue skies we had hoped for but the rain stayed away and nobody got wet – until the guests jumped, fully clothed,  into the pool at the reception! Definitely a...
