No Sand, Thanks!

No Sand, Thanks!

From the start, Lisa and Chris had lots of ideas about what they wanted as part of their wedding ceremony – but they were both absolutely sure what they didn’t want – sand! Unusually for a wedding here, the ceremony was to be held on solid ground, not on the beach. Grace Bay Estates was the chosen venue so the couple pledged their vows with the spectacular view of sea and sky behind them… Another unusual feature of the wedding was having the majority of photos before the ceremony. The couple knew they wanted to get as much as possible done so they could relax and enjoy their time with friends and family. Grace Bay Club has some fabulous areas for photos and Brilliant Studios certainly made use of them – I love the shoe shot! This was...

Nothing Says ‘I Love You’ Like a Dancing Chicken and Gorilla.

Alexa and Ben came to visit us a while before their wedding and we immediately knew their celebration was going to be a lot of fun – you can see from the photos it lived up to our expectations! The couple chose the Beach House as their ceremony and reception venue and made the decision to have the whole resort for themselves and their guests for 3 days – what a great way to spend time with everyone! A welcome night further down the beach at Sibonne resort, catered by Kissing Fish, had everyone in the mood for the wedding day celebrations – and what celebrations they were… Ben is a musician and the couple have lots of musical friends – the guys in the wedding party sang their toasts instead of speaking and the junkanoo was enjoyed by...

Pig Roast, Salt and Junkanoo!

Lauren & Brandon chose Beach House as their wedding venue and with 90 guests they were able to have the whole resort to themselves, which made for a great atmosphere! For their rehearsal dinner they enjoyed a pig roast on the beach, a relaxed beginning to the celebrations before the big day dawned… After a wedding ceremony on the powdery sands of Grace Bay beach they moved to the beach bar deck for cocktails. A junkanoo parade escorted guests to dinner at the poolside restaurant – Lauren used locally made salt as unique place names for her guests. Thanks to Jon of eyeSpice for these photos!

Personality Filled Pictures!

We get to see a lot of wedding photos here, of course – actually it’s one of the things we look forward to – we can’t wait to see all the moments from the big day captured perfectly! Michael and Mara are both musical theatre performers and have lots of friends in the same business, so we knew this would be a wedding with a lot of great dancing, but just take a look at the photos from Brilliant Studios – there’s so much personality in every picture… After their wedding on Grace Bay beach at Sibonne, the party moved to Stargazer villa for a fabulous dinner catered by Kissing Fish – and then the dancing began in earnest, earning the accolade ‘Best dancers I’ve ever seen’ from Luise, who planned their...

There MUST be fireworks!

There MUST be fireworks!

I first met Stacey and Brian, and Stacey’s mom and dad, when they visited Provo to check out options for their wedding. They were excited, friendly and fun – just how we like ‘em! Stacey had some great ideas for the big day, but one thing she really wanted was her ‘very own’ fireworks, so we knew we had to make that happen! The day dawned and despite a short power outage that had us a bit nervous, Stacey took it all in her stride and was relaxed and happy. I was really looking forward to seeing her in her dress as she had told me all about it and warned me it wasn’t a beach wedding style, it was big and ‘pouffey’ and had lots of layers – it really made her feel like a bride! I loved the way it looked –...

Just Keep Pinning…

I met Michelle and Bryan when they came to Provo nine months before their wedding – at which point Michelle confessed she was a Pinterest addict, as Bryan laughingly confirmed! She had lots of great creative ideas – you can see the results in the photos from Jon at eyeSpice. Their main concern was that friends and family enjoyed themselves, after all, they were coming a long way to see the happy couple tie the knot! The night before the wedding they had a fun beach party, complete with logo-ed coconuts (coconut water is very refreshing – even more so when you add local Bambarra rum!) and a proud ring bearer who wanted everyone to know the important part he had to play in next day’s ceremony… The wedding day dawned with a few clouds...
